Why do I march?
As a first generation daughter of 2 immigrant parents who came here with nothing but a dollar and a dream, I march for those fighting for their freedom and to #KeepFamiliesTogether. Remember that DIVERSITY is what makes America great.
I march for my coworker, a hard working nurse who confides in me her struggles as the current sole provider of her family of 6, due to her husband’s job status affected by the government shutdown.
I march as a future NP who has set a goal of specializing in women’s health, to help other women make *their own* educated, safe decisions about their bodies. ⠀⠀
What I wish to see in this world are more people who simply care. Let’s cultivate a nation where having compassion is “cool“ and women feel heard and protected. 💙
