Spend today listening to that voice in your head. Then tell that voice to shut the front door up.
Listen to the way you speak to yourself. Be mindful of how many doors you shut in a single day. I’m talking the “I’d love to but..” the “I don’t have time..” and the “ I can’t do that at my age..”. What you lack may be balls and confidence. If you try saying YES instead of no, you will begin to see that you are removing excuses, you have more time than you think, and that age has nothing to do with it.
I know what I’m talking about. I literally went back to school, found a new career that I love, and started and am growing a successful business all after a long and lucky sojourn as a stay-at-home mom who felt virtually unemployable by the time I was ready to work outside of the house again. When I started to say yes instead of make excuses or dwell on the things that made it challenging my whole life transformed. In my late 40s and early 50s. It’s not just about work though - it’s about clearing the path and being an active participant in making your one life the best that it can be. Stop saying NO and staying stuck in patterns or lifestyle choices that don’t serve you. Be proactive.
Say YES to your life.
And, of course, have a Happy Monday 😉
