After being distracted by a huge herd of eland 😉 in the Cape Point National Park and trying to catch up with the group, I saw this beautiful yellow pincushion. It was illuminated by the sun, with the rest of the plant being in shadow, looking like a spotlight was shining on it. Magnificent!😁 All photos on my website (link in bio) are for sale. If you are interested in a print, I have a sale ongoing for the month of January. All prints are still at 2018 prices for this month. From February it will increase for the new year. Please send me a private message or e-mail for a price list. Sizes available: A1, A2, A3, A4 (Photographic paper or canvas).
I've kinda stopped photographing the #AsianCoels because of how frequently I see them. Especially the male because he's less afraid of being targeted by #birds for being a brooding paradise. So, he's more open to the idea of being identified. The carrier female, who does the deed, takes all the risks. It's why I take a photograph of her once in a while. She's a tough cookie.
She's also one of the few gender representatives in the bird kingdom, who is better-looking than the male.
