AB CIRCUIT ๐Ÿคธ‍โ™€๏ธ did this quick circuit as a burnout sorta deal at the end of my back workout yesterday and I am FEELIN’ it ๐Ÿ˜… (also feeling the back workout so much so that I have to take my rest day today bc my body is so wrecked lmao) but that’s besides the point and i’ll address that below โฌ‡๏ธ this is a quick and effective ab burner that’s super simple and only requires a weight and med ball! SWIPE for videos and SAVE it for all of your future core workout needs ๐Ÿ™Œ

• med ball plank x1 min or as long as possible
• single leg tuck up x20
• KB pullover x20 [try this with knees bent and extended to see how you get more core activation! can also use a dumbbell for this]
• KB drag throughs x20
• plank up down to shoulder tap x10 [one up and down and 2 shoulder taps = 1 rep]
• plank toe taps x30 [keep your butt down and core engaged!]

SO - when do i rest and when should you? as I mentioned above, i’m taking my rest day today instead of doing legs like I planned because my body is screaming at me to STOP causing it more stress. people say it all the time but i’m gonna say it again - LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. that’s not to say every time you’re a little sore take a rest day but heavy compound lifts that involve several muscle groups are incredibly taxing on your musculoskeletal system and your central nervous system so if you’ve really been pushing yourself on those lifts, you might need a little more rest that normal. stress is huge here too - if you’re abnormally stressed with life related things, your ability to recover effectively can be compromised. i’ve been under an insane amount of school stress this week which is absolutely hindering my recovery and playing a part in this. pushing your body beyond what it can handle just because you feel like you have to isn’t gonna do you any good - your lift will suck and you will feel like crap if you try and push through it if deep down you know you need to relax, so DO IT. it’s not gonna hurt ya, it’ll probably only help. this is probably so long so i’m gonna stop but feel free to leave comments or message me if you have any questions about rest! other than that, have a HAPPY FRIDAY and enjoy your weekend ๐ŸŒž

I picked 12 shirts that had meaning to me for this quilt. Not all of them were race shirts; some were finisher shirts and others were gifts. Some are podium shirts and one is the shirt of my first BQ. Looking at this quilt brings back not only race memories but memories of the friends that were there, the friends that gave me the shirts, and the friends that supported me along the way.
